Please call your State Rep & State Senator TODAY. Urge them to support the Housing Stability bill.
- Look up the name and number for your State Rep and Senator. Call them both! (Or click here if you're in Lynn, Nahant, Salem, Swampscott, Peabody, or Saugus).
- Sample message (use your own words): “Hi, this is [your name]. I live at [street, city].
I have a message for [name of Rep/Senator]. I want them to please support the Housing Stability bill. The bill number is HD.5166. This is really important. If it doesn’t pass there could be 20,000 evictions in late October. The extension of the moratorium gives us a little more time but it does NOT solve the problem. Please help to protect us with this law. Thanks!”

What does the Housing Stability do?
The Housing Stability bill includes provisions to protect renters from eviction for non-payment related to COVID-19; to halt arbitrary "no fault" evictions and rent increases for 12 months; to prevent foreclosures and provide deferment options for homeowners; and to stabilize landlords with particular emphasis on owner-occupant and small-scale property owners.
